Noah (and I) had a very special visit a few days ago. I've mentioned before that one of my closest friends live far away in Nicaragua with her husband and their daughter, where they are serving as missionaries. They are in town for a few weeks for the holidays and so that their family and friends can meet the newest addition to the family. Oh boy, is she a little charmer. The moment she came through my front door she greeted me with tons of smiles and I couldn't wait to get my hands on her.
Though Noah and her both had to have naps during the visit, they still were able to spend a little time getting to know one another. Noah hasn't been around younger children then him very much but he really liked her from the start and was trying to share his toys and smother her in kisses. Thankfully she was in a good mood and enjoyed just staring at him. Hmm, our arranged marriage plan may work after all!
I was happy to see how interested in her Noah was, because like it or not he will be getting a constant play mate of his own only a few months down the road!
Thanks for the visit Ally! Hopefully we manage to get in some more time before you guys are off. Love you!

Rainy Saturday update
What a wet day outside! Can you believe its June!? The only real positive I see to this weather is that it means we will probably have another gorgeous August and September like we did last year. Which means, our camping trip will probably hopefully be awesome!
Noah is feeling back to his old self. He is crawling and walking (with help) like crazy right now and doesnt want to sit still. He is loving that its the weekend and daddy is around fulltime to play with him.
And on another happy note - my dear friend Ally down in Nicaragua had her baby yesterday! A little girl who they have named Annaleise Engelina, weighing in at 5 pounds 4 ounces. I got to see a picture of her a few hours after she was born and my goodness she is the sweetest thing!!! Its torture not being able to simply drive over and see my friend and have some snuggles with little Annaleise. But I know they are in good hands down there. Congratulations Kyle & Ally! I know you will be amazing parents!

My beautiful friend
Recently I had the opportunity to do some catching up with one of my dearest friends. Her and her husband are missionary's in Nicaragua so I only get to see her once or twice a year. She is one of those friends that no matter how often we talk (and believe me... its not as often as we would like) we easily fall back into the exact same kind of friendship we had before. It is like nothings changed with us, even though everything around us has.
But we love to reminisce about the olden days. The emotional and intense 1am phone calls, our bizarre snacking habits, our crazy book character conversations and our quirky 'birthday' traditions (that so wouldn't go over with our husbands now by the way...)
When she visits it reminds me how much I miss having her a part of my daily life. Especially as a mother. But its okay, because for now I know that she is exactly where God wants her to be. And where else could be better then in His will?
I am beyond excited that she is soon to be a mommy! She is hands down one of the most gorgeous pregnant woman I have ever seen.
Wouldn't you agree?
Noah was totally absorbed in her belly. I guess he hasn't been around any pregnant woman recently so it was the first time he has seen anything like it. He kept looking back and forth from her face to her belly and touching it. It was pretty cute!
Heart to Heart. Love you Al!
